The PRN float RN position is part of our regional float pool, and team members are trained to work in any clinic location in Tappahannock region. May be assigned to family medicine, pediatrics, or any of our specialty clinics depending on staffing needs, PTO coverage, or higher‑than‑usual clinic volumes. We try to be mindful of where each float lives when scheduling, but they are expected to work anywhere from Callao to King William if needed. Schedules are provided about two weeks in advance, but the role is highly flexible. Assignments can change the day of if a greater need comes up, and may occasionally be asked to move to another clinic mid‑day when it’s reasonable. The Clinical Nurse I job integrates technical skills and theoretical knowledge to meet the needs of the patient and family. This job assists the health care team with the prevention of illness and injury, maintenance of wellness, and provision of comfort. This job provides direction, education, and begins to acquire leadership skills at the unit level. The Clinical Nurse II job demonstrates a mastery of clinical skills and begins to apply this knowledge to a specific patient population.
