Monitors inventory of supplies and communicates information to Office Manager. 11. *Administers injections, vital signs, vision and auditory testing as delegated. 12. Physician Assistant: Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic wounds as a part of a healthcare team both in an office and facility setting under the supervision of the outpatient wound care clinic physicians. Care planning, follow-up visits, updating treatment plan including medication, ordering and interpreting lab, imaging and other diagnostic testing in the medical record as appropriate and within scope of care. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing or Physician’s Assistant Program Current Louisiana State APRN or PA Licensure Current ACLS certifications through any International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) provided courses such as but not limited to: Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, and American Red Cross. PRINCIPAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1. *Commits to the mission, vision, beliefs and consistently demonstrates our core values. 2. *Maintains flow of patients in accordance with time of appointment in order to avoid delays for the provider and undue waiting for patients. 3. *Collects subjective and objective data and contributes to the assessment of the patient; documents appropriately in the patient chart. 4. *Makes accurate and timely observations and documents changes in the patient’s condition in the patient chart. 5. *Retrieves messages and responds to calls from patients, pharmacies, hospitals, nursing homes and other medical offices by use of telephone and computer in a timely manner as delegated by licensed heath care provider (MD, PA, NP). 6. *Assists the medical provider with all examinations and procedures. 7. *Keeps the exam rooms clean, disinfected and stocked with necessary supplies. 8. *Schedules follow-up procedures/appointments and specialty appointments. 9. *Explains tests and preparation as needed for adequate patient education. 10. Monitors inventory of supplies and communicates information to Office Manager. 11. *Administers injections, vital signs, vision and auditory testing as delegated. 12. Performs other related projects and duties as assigned. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Graduation from an accredited professional nursing program required. Current Registered Nurse licensure from the State of Nebraska or approved compact state of residence as defined by the Nebraska Nurse Practice Act required. OTHER CREDENTIALS / CERTIFICATIONS: Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required.
