The Registered Nurse is a member of an interdisciplinary care team. This role provides patient centric care and is primarily responsible for nursing assessment and diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The Clinical Nurse Coordinator provides clinical support to medical providers, providing care management to their entire panel of patients. Position Key Accountabilities: 1. Performs responsibilities in a manner that promotes quality patient care and customer service/satisfaction. 2. As required and competency validated, performs appropriate hearing and vision testing, EKG, spirometry, point of care testing, specimen collection, equipment cleaning/reprocessing and other requested procedures. 5. Prepares and stocks rooms (daily/weekly) and clinic supplies in advance of clinic visit as well as cleaning rooms appropriately between patients. 6. Prepares for and assists with routine and specialty procedures. 7. Schedules patients for follow up appointments or referrals and performs routine clerical duties for team and staff to include photocopying, scanning and faxing. 8. Performs telephone messaging and in person screening with appropriate follow up. 9. Responds to emergency situations. 10. Respects and maintains privacy and confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines. 11. Performs other duties as assigned. Certification/Skills: Basic Life Support (BLS) by American Heart Association (AHA) required Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) by American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) required or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) by American Medical Technologist (AMT) required or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) by National Healthcareer Association (NHA) required or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) by National Center for Competency Testing required Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent Completion of an approved Medical Assistant training program OR one (1) year of experience (in addition to the one year of experience required to meet the experience requirement) AND certification may be substituted for Medical Assistant training program.
