Summary Under general direction of nursing leadership, the Surgical Coordinator RN position is responsible for being the primary resource person to the team members in regard to clinical questions, training opportunities, and equipment/instrumentation for each surgical specialty. This position links nursing leadership with nursing care through the application of organizational and nursing service policies, procedures, and care delivery model. The Surgical Coordinator RN uses the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements to guide leadership and practice. (25%) * Coordinates the operating room and GI procedure schedule changes as they occur with staff, physicians and other departments. Notifies physicians of delays or conflicts.
