Job Description Up to $25,000 sign on bonus for qualified Registered Nurses! Position Details : Full Time - 12 hour Nights - 36 hours a week - Robert Packer Hospital – 4 West unit Department Details : 4 West is a short stay unit with 15 beds that focuses on procedural population, along with prep/recovery, minor procedures with a relation to interventional radiology, and many other surgical service lines. Position Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional, comprehensive nursing care for patients in an acute care environment. Accountable for the delivery of coordinated, safe, compassionate, therapeutic, evidence-based quality care to patients and families, based on individual physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, and appropriate care strategies throughout the lifespan. Practices in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act in the state of employment, the American Nurses Association (ANA) Code of Ethics for Nurses, and the ANA scope and standards of practice. Essential functions and specific skills for the job are found in the unit specific onboarding checklist and in standards that are applicable to the specialty. Education, License, & Certification(s): Registered Nurse in the State of Practice BSN in Nursing preferred Any previously agreed upon effective date for obtaining a Bachelor's degree in nursing between individuals and facilities will remain in effect, including those who transition to their position from the NLRN Program Any contract with specific time frames for obtaining a bachelor’s degree in nursing will supersede the above point and will remain in effect Specialty Certification is preferred BLS certification ACLS is unit dependent Experience: The Registered Nurse must be a registered nurse currently licensed in the state of employment with at least one year of experience. Alternately, the Registered Nurse may have less than one year of experience if they have been transitioned to their position from the Newly Licensed Registered Nurse Residency (NLRN) Program. The Registered Nurse must meet the individual nursing unit specifications regarding educational requirements during employment. Must maintain BLS certification. ACLS is unit dependent. Registered Nurse (RN) - Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) - St. Mary's Hospital Job Summary: The Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) position is responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to patients by: Utilizing strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status Determining the priority of the patient’s problems and needs Implementing clinical nursing interventions to acute, critical patients that require intensive medical care Developing and performing patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomes Ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment Essential Functions: In collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team, conducts initial and ongoing patient assessment, and safely demonstrates basic knowledge of the contemporary nursing practice Provides episodic (outpatient) and inpatient (at designated units) pediatric nursing care where applicable Applies knowledge of contemporary Pediatric nursing practice and future innovations Utilizes nursing practice to the care of pediatric patients that require nursing assessment and interdisciplinary team interventions Evaluates, updates and revises plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes Administer medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and the organization’s policies and procedures Other duties as assigned Education: Bachelor of Science Nursing (preferred, not required) Certifications: Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) BLS Basic Life Support or PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (preferred at hire, must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care, PALS required within 6 months of hire based on departmental requirements) Experience: One (1) year of professional experience practicing as a Registered Nurse (RN) Recent Medical/Surgical, NICU, Pediatric, OB, ED or critical care experience (preferred, not required) Training: EPIC Electronic Health Record training (preferred, not required) Range: Minimum: $34.33 Maximum: $54.93 Bon Secours is an equal opportunity employer.
