Services include echocardiography (TEE and transthoracic), stress testing, and tilt table testing. These diagnostic studies help physicians identify cardiac and vascular conditions and guide treatment decisions. There are 3 stress labs, 2 TEE rooms, and 1 tilt room. Hours of operation are 7a-5p. Nurse work hours are staggered beginning at 6am, working 4 days, 10-hour shifts. Nurses administer moderate sedation for most TEEs. Cases requiring deep/general anesthesia are supported by anesthesia. We teach the nuclear medicine students the patient care curriculum in the allied health program. The main topics are direct patient care, vital signs, and EKG rhythm interpretation.
