Overview 4 South is an 18-bed unit that specializes in orthopedics and neurosurgery. The Registered Nurse (RN) cares for a diverse population that includes primary and revision joint replacement as well as neurosurgery patients recovering primarily from procedures such as cervical and lumbar fusions and revisions. Many of our patients participate in Joint Academy before they undergo surgery followed by participation in the Recovery Coach program following surgery. This surgical unit is fast-paced related to turn over as patients typically have a short length of stay.
