About This Role: Rowan's Piercing Studio Nurse, reporting to the Studio Manager, is dedicated to providing a safe, clean, and joyful ear-piercing experience. As a Rowan Nurse you will leverage your highly respected nursing skills and expertise to perform piercings with the utmost care and precision. Nurses are our skin-saving, infection-fighting, and customer-calming superheroes – essential skills that make Rowan’s signature clinical ear piercing services a true delight. Your role is all about building trust and excitement, turning each piercing into a fun and memorable milestone! What you’ll do: \n Customer Service: Create magical and memorable customer experiences by combining top-notch clinical care with a celebratory atmosphere during each piercing session. Ensure customer's safety and comfort and smooth flow of customer care. Provide confident, clear, and professional communication with clients throughout their entire piercing experience. Create a comforting atmosphere for customers, easing their concerns to ensure a relaxed and confident piercing experience. Educate customers on aftercare, promoting Rowan's After Care to support healing and ensure their well-being. Conduct a thorough ear evaluation to find the perfect earring placement and offer personalized styling advice. Actively monitor the customer experience, quickly addressing and resolving any issues to maintain Rowan's clinical piercing standards. Maintain a sterile and aseptic environment at the nurse station and on the procedure tray, ensuring all surfaces, instruments, and supplies are clean and properly sanitized to prevent contamination and promote customer safety. Use your expert knowledge of skin care and infection control and prevention to provide professional and personalized piercing services. Studio Support: Collaborate with the Studio Manager to keep operations running smoothly and foster a joyful, celebratory atmosphere. Flexibility to fill shifts as needed. May mentor and train new nurses to uphold Rowan's Clinical Piercing Standards, including shadowing piercing services and observing customer interactions. Stay attentive to anything that could impact the customer experience, and quickly report any issues to management while collaborating to resolve them. Inventory and Supplies: Ensure all piercing stations, including the nurse cart, mayo stand, and nurse nook, are always stocked with the necessary supplies and ready for any customer needs. Ensure the safety and cleanliness of our services by sterilizing jewelry and needle piercing instruments. Studio Operations: Follow state, federal, and CDC guidelines closely to ensure a sanitary and safe piercing experience. Sales: Ensure high-quality performance to support key studio metrics, including revenue growth, efficiency in piercing services (e.g., piercings per hour), increasing average order value, and boosting sales. Educate customers on Rowan After Care, and the benefits of bringing home an extra pair of hypoallergenic, non-piercing jewelry to promote healing. Reporting and Communication: Quickly address and escalate operational concerns, ensuring clear communication with management and team members to implement solutions efficiently. What you bring to the table: Required Certifications: Active RN or LPN/LVN License. Applicants must be eligible to obtain or possess a body art license or registration in accordance with applicable state and local laws. Professional and engaging customer care approach. Unlock your potential at Parkland Medical Center! *Currently offering a sign on bonus up to 10k!* Job Summary and Qualifications Position Summary: The Cath Lab nurse is expected to assist in providing total care of the patient before, during and after procedures. This includes providing physical, emotional, spiritual and cultural support. Essential Functions include but are not limited to: Incorporates appropriate assessments and intervention skills in all interactions and delivery of nursing care Communicates with patients, team members and management in an accurate, timely manner Documents in a complete, timely manner; appropriately uses computer charting/ ordering Applies critical thinking skills and considers alternatives Organizes multitask workload, prioritizes tasks, organizes/delivers care for multiple patient assignment Develops and maintains human care relationships Proficient in triaging according to the Emergency Nursing Association triage category systems and maintains excellent assessment and reassessment to determine the response to medications and treatments Acknowledges the impact illness/hospitalization has on patients and families; adapts care management for diverse populations and environments’ advocates for needs of clients; provides care in an ethical and legal manner Recognizes the importance of teamwork among care providers and works well as a team member Is flexible and able to process much information quickly and correctly and to develop a care plan to meet the emergent needs of the patient and family Acknowledges limits of experience and capability and requests assistance appropriately Verbalizes scope of practice for self and others, delegates and assigns care, coordinates care within multi-disciplinary team Incorporates teaching in delivery of care with a focus on health promotion Provides information to patient, assesses for barriers to learning, uses colleagues as a resource as appropriate, provides counseling about health behaviors Applies know of the patient populations served within unit; provides age-appropriate care, applies knowledge of expected norms in planning care (i.e. VS, lab values, assessment, etc.) Applies new data to improve care Collects specimens for POC moderately complex testing according to established policies and procedures Performs POC moderately complex testing according to established policies and procedures Performs and documents instrument maintenance;performs quality control according to established procedures; troubleshoots instruments effectively, when appropriate Integrates technical, psychological, social, intellectual and physical skills Demonstrates the unit-specific skills required for assigned role and service area Maintains required competencies based on high-risk/low-volume/problem-prone areas Promotes internal and external customer satisfaction Builds and promotes a culture of service excellence and continuous improvement Works as scheduled and is compliant with Attendance and Tardiness Policy What qualifications you will need: Active New Hampshire nursing license American Heart Association BCLS American Heart Association ACLS within 30 days of hire Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing, BSN preferred Minimum two years of Cath Lab and Interventions experience Minimum of five years nursing experience Benefits Parkland Medical Center, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
