Responsibilities Participates in the interviewing and hiring of clinical staff. Coordinates and monitors orientation of new clinical associates to ensure they meet 90-day performance goals. Provides oversight of clinical staff to ensure that appropriate policies and procedures are followed in the provision of patient care Monitors and ensures completion of annual competencies for clinical staff Serves as flow facilitator for clinical staff in the accurate and timely completion of patient care. Utilizes resources including but not limited to telephone call monitoring, immunization accuracy audits, and EMR chart reviews to provide quantitative and qualitative feedback to clinical staff. Collaborates with nurse/office manager to ensure professional behavior of clinical team members through monitoring of adherence to Nemours Standards of Behavior. Manages medication and vaccine processes to ensure compliance with pharmacy standards and applicable regulations. Participates in lead nurse meetings and shares pertinent information with clinical associates. Location: Kent Campus Hospital Status: Full Time 72 Hours Shift: Nights SALARY RANGE: 37.98 - 58.87 HOURLY General Summary: The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care to patients within a assigned unit with a commitment to quality and safety. Professional nursing practices, requiring specialized knowledge judgment and skill are performed using the process in accordance with hospital policy, procedures and nursing philosophy. Responsibilities: Provide direct, professional nursing care to specified population of patients in the acute care setting. Develops a patient centered plan of care based on individualized needs. Maintains confidentiality of the patient medical record. Counsel and educate patients and their care partner on treatment plans. Administer medication following the five rights of medication administration. Provide wound care and dressing changes, as applicable. Read and interpret patient information, making treatment decisions, when appropriate. Consult with physicians to decide on best treatment decisions when appropriate Performs nursing interventions to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Observe and record patient behavior and response to nursing interventions. Demonstrates quality, safe and effective patient care. Provides delegation to unlicensed assistive staff and Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) staff Demonstrates standards of excellence which includes practicing nursing with core values of compassion, accountability, respect, teamwork and integrity. Demonstrates understanding and executes quality and performance improvement plans. (only for RN evaluation) Participates in decision making and takes actions based on ethical principles. (only for RN evaluation) Provides timely and accurate documentation of patient care. All other duties as assigned within the scope and range of job responsibilities. Required Education, Credential(s) and Experience: Education: Associate Degree Nursing Or Nursing Diploma.
