Job Description Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care. Assists with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team. Under general supervision, guided by the policies and procedures of the Medical Center and Ambulatory Services, and in collaboration with the physician staff and administrative management, the Pediatric Neurology Nurse works independently to coordinate the clinical care for Pediatric Brain Center clinic patients. The Pediatric Neurology Nurse will utilize a high level of clinical knowledge to screen patient referrals, coordinate patient evaluations to ensure efficient patient care flow, provide patient education, and improve health literacy and adherence to the treatment plan. The nurse serves as a clinical liaison between families, providers, inpatient teams, and external partners to ensure continuity of care across settings. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Minimum of three (3) years of RN clinical employment experience in pediatric neurology and care coordination experience either in ambulatory practice or case management within the past 3 years. Proven ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare team. Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) and professional conduct. Computer literate (esp. MS Word, Outlook, and internet use) and experience with EHRs Efficient In Basket and Pool management skills to support timely, safe, and effective care delivery. High level organizational skills, proficiency in meeting deadlines, ability to work independently and prioritize workload. Demonstrated clinical competence including effective leadership, teaching, and communication skills or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
