This is an opportunity to take a leadership role in supporting high-quality nursing services within a comprehensive behavioral health and substance use treatment setting. About the Facility Our Concord location is a 74-bed behavioral health facility , including 16 dedicated detox beds . The Nurse Manager will play a key role in supporting nursing operations across the facility, ensuring appropriate staffing, quality patient care, clinical documentation, and compliance with nursing, regulatory, and organizational standards. About the Role The Nurse Manager provides leadership and oversight of nursing staff and services while working closely with the Executive Director, medical providers, and program leadership . This role is responsible for nursing staffing and scheduling, clinical and documentation oversight, detoxification protocols, medication management, admissions support, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee nursing staff while maintaining appropriate staffing and coverage. Develop and manage nursing schedules based on facility and program needs. Provide clinical leadership and support to nursing staff and ensure adherence to nursing policies, procedures, and standards of practice. Oversee detoxification protocols, including accurate and timely completion of vital signs, COWS, CIWA, and other required monitoring . Support efficient nursing admissions, including admissions that occur outside anticipated times. Monitor nursing documentation, including EMRs and medication administration records (MARs) . Maintain required DEA logs and narcotic count documentation . Conduct nursing chart audits to monitor quality of care, documentation, and regulatory compliance. Partner with medical and operational leadership to prepare for regulatory and accreditation surveys. Ensure nursing staff practice within the scope of their individual licensure. Address nursing-related client and staff concerns promptly and professionally. Support staff development, accountability, and adherence to clinical standards. Participate in on-call coverage as required and provide RN shift coverage when necessary. What We're Looking For Required: Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license valid for practice in North Carolina. Current CPR/BLS and First Aid certification , as required. Strong clinical judgment, leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to manage competing priorities and coordinate nursing coverage. Preferred: 2–3 years of experience in a behavioral health treatment setting. 2–3 years of experience in substance use disorder and/or co-occurring disorders treatment.
