Department operation issues to department operation manager. Clinical issues to department nurse manager. Communicates new workflows and policies implemented within South Shore Medical Center. Completes the medication and needle audit daily or delegates a staff nurse or medical assistant to complete this task. Completes review of the daily urine and throat culture log and pulling the report for review and distribution. Places self into the clinical role working as a staff nurse with an assignment. Day shift charge nurse completes warm hand off to evening charge nurse of any issues or concerns that had arisen throughout the day. Evening charge nurse to notify the lab and radiology when the last patient has left the clinic. Evening charge nurse to communicate any clinic exam rooms that require a deep clean to the building operations manager and/or the cleaning company email as appropriate when the last patient has left the clinic. Completes the fridge/freezer temp check/logs. Review required supplies and notify facilities of needs for the department clinic. Complete daily code cart check and weekly POC testing check. Other duties as assigned.
