Summary of Primary Function Delivers patient care utilizing the nursing process through data collection and assessment, identifies and determines the priority of patient’s problems/needs, and evaluates the process and outcome of nursing care; coordinates, provides and directs patient teaching activities and coordinates the care provided by health team members. Overview The Registered Nurse (RN) provides nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process and standards of practice for a professional nurse. The RN is expected to perform all staff nurse activities and function as charge nurse when assigned. American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring MA licensure, prior travel experience, and fetal monitoring certification for a night shift role with charge responsibilities. Job details: - Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting with 8 beds, 6 triage rooms, and 2 ORs - Night shift schedule: 7p–7a, 12-hour shifts, 36–48 hours per week (3x12s or 4x12s) - Every other weekend required - Every other holiday required - No on-call responsibilities - Floating to Postpartum unit required as needed Requirements: - Active MA RN license required (may be pending at time of submission, but proof of application must be provided) - Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring - Minimum 1 year of L&D experience required - Prior travel nursing experience required - Two professional references required for consideration Additional information: - Will function in a charge nurse capacity with support from the on-shift Clinical Resource Nurse - Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but will be considered at a discounted pay rate
