Position Summary Position Summary Nights - 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM Full time, Three - 12 hours shifts per week The Nursing Supervisor in the Patient Care Coordinators office (PCC) facilitates timely and safe patient flow throughout the hospital, provides management and operational oversight in the hospital, responds to emergency codes, and ensures the provision of safe, quality patient care. Responsibilities Essential Functions • Serves as a clinical resource agent to nursing units and allied health departments for problem solving, within a given shift. • Ensures safe and timely patient flow throughout the facility and coordinates intrasystem transfers. • Participates in clinical observation and assessment for patients as needed to determine appropriate level of care/patient placement. • Provides oversight of staffing resources in coordination with department leadership and the corporate staffing office. • Ensures a visible and collegial leadership presence throughout the facility and shift. • Serves as a first responder for all emergency code events and house alerts. • Completes documentation per shift for patient census, events and flow outcomes, proficiently operating databases, bed management programs, and the electronic health record. • Serves as a leadership resource for Orlando Health policy, procedure, legal and risk issues, and compliance with regulatory standards and accrediting agencies. • Responds/resolves team member, patient, family member, and provider concern and provides follow-up with appropriate individuals. • Provides support, education, coaching, and mentoring to team members. • Assists personnel and families in all circumstances that surround death of a patient, facilitating arrangements for autopsies, organ/tissue donation and/or verification of referrals to the Medical Examiner. • Serves as the central intake for patient matters concerning the American Disability Act, language and/or cultural issues; facilitating assistance as needed within the facility. • Manages human resource related functions; not limited to interviewing, onboarding, evaluating personnel, reinforcing expectations with standards for care and /or conduct and issuing corrective actions. • Provides crisis management support and coordinates follow-up actions with the Administrator -on-Call (AOC). • Serves as the Incident Commander for all HICS events until the hospital administrator arrives on the scene. Qualifications Education/Training • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. • Bachelor of Science in Nursing Licensure/Certification • Current professional license as a registered nurse in the State of Florida. • National Certification in a specialty area within 2 years. • Maintains current BLS; as determined by specialty area ACLS, PALS, NALS, or TNCC is required. Experience • Five (5) years of experience as a registered nurse in the acute care setting. • Minimum of 1 year of leadership experience

Essential Duties & Responsibilities of the RN Unit Manager: • Complete assessments of residents at admission and discharge. • Supervise nursing staff assigned. • Document services rendered to residents for billing purposes. • Write admission notes or evaluate admission notes and chart additional essential information. • Identify and prioritize primary nursing problems. • Develop care plan addressing immediate nursing problems. • Make daily rounds to monitor resident care and status or residents. • Implement care plans for residents in compliance with physician’s orders. • Implement established nursing policies and procedures, educating nursing support staff according to facility guidelines. • Notify resident or legal representative of pending discharge twenty-four (24) hours in advance. • On date of discharge, chart complete discharge summary, to include discharge planning and referrals. • Keep complete and accurate record of sign in/out sheets for staffing hours. • Assign duties to RN, LPN’s and nursing assistants, as directed. • Work closely with the Director of Nursing in resolving grievances with nursing staff, family members, and residents. • Promote favorable working conditions and relationships with the administration, medical staff, consultants, other departments, residents, family members, volunteers, agencies, and any other individual or group affiliated with the facility. • Handle and report disciplinary action that requires immediate attention during your tour of duty in the absence of the Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing and Administrator. • Review charting on a weekly basis for accuracy and completeness. Document in resident’s chart pertinent information about significant change in resident’s condition. • Maintain a safe working environment, complying with infection control and body mechanic procedures. • Respond to need for staffing shortages by arranging for replacement staff. • Track infection control, exposure control, and resident care trends to provide proactive improvement. Identify areas of concern and offer recommendations and suggestions to the Director of Nursing. • Inform Central Supply of any supplies that are needed. • Other special projects and duties, as assigned. The RN Clinic Supervisor provides leadership and management of the InnovAge clinic. They are responsible for the supervision of assigned staff providing guidance and monitoring the performance of the clinic staff and the direct care given to the participants. The Clinic Nurse Supervisor is familiar with a variety of the RN, LPN, MA, Outside Scheduler, Clinic Clerk, PCW and CNA practices and department procedures and relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Participant Nursing – 40% Monitors compliance with all applicable licensing, certification and accreditation requirements. Serves as a member on various committees both within and outside of the agency as requested by the Home Care and Clinic Service Manager. Manages the flow of clinic by overseeing appointment bookings, triaging and gate keeping in conjunction with primary care and staff. Ensures that participants are cared for in a timely and appropriate fashion. Observes, records, and reports participant’s condition and reaction to drugs and treatments to physicians responsible for treatment. Coordinates participant care with outside contract service providers including nursing homes, assisted living, lab, oxygen and others. Manages and reviews the records and charts of participants for pertinent information and staff documentation, performs documentation as necessary. Encourages team building by coaching and mentoring staff as needed and training home care and clinic staff to function independently. Follows up and communicates with weekend and after hour staff as appropriate. Instructs participants and family regarding medications and treatment instructions. Administers medications, provides training in self-administration of all non-scheduled medications and monitors medication compliance. Provides health counseling to participants and their families on an individual or group basis. Assists in the examination, assessment, evaluation testing and treatment of participants. Effectively communicates in interdisciplinary team meetings, family meetings, and clinic meetings.
