We are seeking a hardworking and motivated Registered Nurse to join our PACU team, which includes, nursing assistants, schedulers, instrument technicians, and MDs. The PACU RN is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned Perianesthesia (pre- and post-op) patients. The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedure, and professional practice guidelines. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate. Schedule: This PACU nursing position will be working 64 hours every two weeks on the rotating day/evening shift, 8 hour shifts and rotating weekends. O ff premise call is required. The position does require the ability to work D/N off-premise call shifts as assigned (staff rotation of weeknights and weekends) and meet unit requirement for a 45-minute call response time. About the OR at UMMC West Bank Our partnership with the University of Minnesota Medical School and University of Minnesota Physicians provides the platform to specialize in breakthrough treatments, surgical techniques, lifesaving therapies and to train tomorrow's physicians. Clinical trials advance our clinical services, bringing the very newest insights in patient care.
