Job Description Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams; carries out established nursing procedures and performs related duties as required; performs nursing care for patients with more complex needs with assistance and supervision. Assists with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years inpatient RN experience with pediatric medical-surgical patients, specifically patients with acute and chronic respiratory, GI disorders, epilepsy, rehab, immunology, eating disorders. In addition, experience with pediatric patients with a medical diagnosis with underlying behavioral/psychiatric health conditions. This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations. This position includes a night shift differential of $4.00/hr, and a weekend differential of $3.25/hr. Overview POSITION SUMMARY: Protects, promotes and restores health and wellness by practicing at the highest level of the Registered Nurse licensure; collaborating with providers and multidisciplinary care team members to provide care coordination across the continuum. Assesses and supports physical symptoms, provides psychological support to patients, friends, and families, mentors assigned team members, promotes best practices, and maintains professional disposition at all times.
