To serve as a resource and advisory person in providing assistance in the identification and evaluation of children with handicapping conditions in assigned school units. To conduct school health services including immunizations, hearing and vision tests, and any other health practices approved and directed by the Superintendent of Schools. To protect student health by attention to environmental health and safety factors concerning the schools and grounds. To provide emergency care for illness and injury occurring during tthe regularly scheduled school day, To advise teachers on health matters, including screening for health problems. To assist the teachers in adapting the school program to meet the individual physical needs of all students. To maintain health records for all assigned students and to interpret these records as required. To prepare and submit data and reports as requested by the Head Nurse. To attend all staff conferences relating to health problems and services. To participate in In-Service programs as required by Administrative Policy.
