Presents patients to Selection Committee for consideration of listing for transplant. Assumes responsibility for call. Demonstrates the ability to accurately and timely provide information about listed patients and coordinate a transplant in collaboration and at the direction of the attending surgeon. Serves as a liaison with regional dialysis centers and nephrology offices for patient referrals, education, and pre transplant follow up processes. Regularly communicates with them regarding patient status during the evaluation phase. Maintains exemplary customer service skills by assisting customers, responding to questions, problem solving, promptly answering telephone in accordance with hospital and departmental standards, and maintaining a professional image. Demonstrates positive interpersonal relationships with co-workers and physicians. Engages in self-development to maintain professional and technical knowledge base and professional credentials.
