How you make a difference As a Registered Nurse (RN), your primary responsibility is to provide patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Responsibilities POSITION SUMMARY The Assistant Director of Nursing ensures that standards of professional practice are developed and maintained on a 24-hour basis, 7 days a week to achieve excellence and continuity in resident care on the unit in a manner that is reflective the ESCC Core Values. The Assistant Dir. of Nursing will ensure that nursing care goals are established for each resident and provides guidance for the clinical care team to work toward established goals, ensuring that appropriate nursing care is provided and required documentation is completed. Overview The Observation Unit is specialized and designed for efficient, ongoing medical treatment, assessment, and reassessment of patients before the appropriate decision can be made to either discharge or admit.
