Responsibilities Perform focused patient assessments within scope of practice Monitor and document vital signs, pain, intake/output, and clinical changes Provide basic nursing care (bathing, toileting, repositioning, ambulation) Assist with activities of daily living (ADL's) Reinforce patient comfort and safety measures (fall precautions, skin integrity) Administer oral, topical, subcutaneous, and intramuscular medications within scope of practice May administer IV medications/fluids after completion of mandatory IV class offered during orientation Perform wound care (dressing changes, sterile technique).
