Our Operating Room is performing an average of 60 cases per day. We provide innovative surgical suites, including a hybrid suite and intraoperative MRI suites, for adult patients needing surgical intervention. As a Surgical Technologist, you will be responsible for: Supplying appropriate instruments, suture, and specialty items. Maintaining aseptic technique during all sterile procedures. Ensuring accurate identification and handling of specimens. Counting all required sponges, sharps, and instruments. Assuring availability and accurate functioning of supplies and equipment. Modifying clinical interventions based on population served. Nurturing a culture of improvement, efficiency, and innovative thinking. Anticipating the surgeon’s needs. Following appropriate action in emergency situations. Required Qualifications: Complete one of the following by hire date: Military Surgical Assistant; OR LPN (licensed in MN) Surgical Assistant; OR Surgical Technologist training Basic Life Support (BLS) through Health Care Providers (or ability to obtain by hire date) Preferred Qualifications: Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technologist program AST certification or certification eligible at time of hire 1 to 3 years surgical tech experience Current OR cardiovascular scrub experience Other Required Skills: Knowledge of physical, psychosocial, and cognitive developmental needs of population served. Knowledge of age-appropriate outcomes and interventions. Desired Skills: Demonstrate the ability to work under stress in a variety of situations. Ability to work well under a team environment.
