PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITES Coordinate the multidisciplinary team (physicians, advanced practice nurses and other support staff) approach to connect patients with integrated, comprehensive services, specific to their condition. Track, order completion and follow up. Monitor patient compliance with patient treatment plan and assist patients with referrals to outside resources and care coordination as needed. Serve as the central point of contact for all oncology navigated patients, including interactions with medical, nursing ancillary service providers. Provide education to patients, families, and significant others via phone or written consultation. Demonstrate efficiency with delegated orders and data entry with oncology EMR. Provide patient support and phone triage skills for the oncology population. Follows Chemotherapy dosing based on National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) or other Chemotherapy guidelines with coordination of complex chemotherapy regimens with infusion and pharmacy staff. Overview Registered Nurse, Emergency Room Full Time, 72 Hours Per Pay Period, Day Shift Cumberland Medical Center Overview: Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville, Tennessee is part of Covenant Health, East Tennessee’s largest nonprofit health system and a Becker’s “Top 150 Places to Work in Healthcare.” Fully accredited by the Joint Commission, Cumberland Medical Center is an acute care hospital offering all private patient rooms as well as comprehensive care including cardiology, orthopedics, maternity, cancer treatment, and wound care. Position Summary: Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit; coordinates care planning with other disciplines. Responsibilities Completes nursing history and initiates patient education. Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members. Implements plan of care appropriate to diagnosis.
