Education Required: High School completion / GED Type of degree: Certification as a Surgical Technologist Area of study or major: Surgical Technology Preferred educational qualifications: Diploma; Associates Degree in the field of Surgical Technology; Military Training; 5 or more years of experience without a degree. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current CPR (AHA BLS) is required. Surgical Technologist/Scrub Tech at Texas Orthopedic Surgery Center The Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. Maintains a sterile field during surgical procedures. Prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment related to these procedures. Supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center. Supports and participates in quality improvement activities.
