Uses Standard Universal Precautions, appropriate hand hygiene, personal protective equipment, and safe practices to ensure personal safety and a safe environment. 12. Assists with environmental hazard and infection control surveillance and participates in emergency preparedness drills. 13. Follows all equipment and safety guidelines and is responsible for knowledgeable use and care of equipment. 14. Serves as a resource to other members of the health care team. 15. Scrub Tech Ortho at Baylor Surgicare Fort Worth I: Under the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing, the Certified Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. Prepares and maintains supplies, instruments and equipment related to these procedures. Supports the philosophy, objectives and goals of the Surgery Center. Supports and participates in quality improvement activities. Experienced in supporting in the following specialties: Orthopedics, ENT, General, GI, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, Urology. Qualifications: Education High school graduate or equivalent.
