Description Full Time APRN APRN will report directly to the Medical Director. The APRN is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day medical flow. The APRN is responsible for completing admissions process with all new clients. The APRN identifies and documents chronic and acute medical needs of clients and communicates this to the nursing team. The APRN represents the facility in a positive manner, both personally and professionally. Qualifications: APRN Licensure and Certification in the appropriate state, maintains current licensure per state requirements Malpractice insurance coverage Current CPR and Standard First Aid Certificate DEA license preferred Previous experience working in and a strong commitment to a team environment Previous work with addictions, mental illness, and homelessness or willingness to learn understanding of the systemic issues affecting those we serve preferred. Knowledge/experience of how to safely de-escalate potentially volatile situations. Current CPR and Standard First Aid Certificate Skills: Competent in using EMR and information systems in providing effective documentation of client care. The Rehab nurse is responsible for all normal nursing duties: assessment, admissions, discharges, education, administering medications via multiple routes, patient safety, interdisciplinary collaboration, blood draws, placing peripheral IVs, maintaining central and peripheral lines, foley catheters, bowel programs, etc. The most rewarding piece is watching the patients gain higher function and ability to care for themselves. We work as a team of RNs, LPNs, Techs, secretaries, Case managers, therapists, physicians, etc. Our goal is to deliver exceptional care to every patient and care for each other. Rehab family tree with all of our smiling faces Individualized recognition for accomplishments Qualifications: Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred. Education: The Registered Nurse (RN) must have graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO). Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license. Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies. Why Join IU Health?
