We are currently hiring for an RN - Orthopedic/Surgical position! This is a .7 FTE with Evening/Night shifts, requiring 12 hour shifts every third weekend (Saturday & Sunday). Current RN License Required. Minimum of 1 year of relevant RN experience is preferred. An RN position in the Orthopedic/Surgical Unit at Gillette Children's involves providing specialized care to pediatric patients under 18 who are recovering from surgery and require an inpatient stay of one or more nights. In addition to post-surgical care, nurses in this unit also care for non-surgical patients needing medical treatment that requires a short hospital stay. RNs in this role collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to manage pain, wound care, and recovery, while also educating families about the treatment process. This position requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and a compassionate, family-centered approach to care.
