Pay Range: $55.62 - $78.61 Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Position Overview Responsibilities Evaluates need for and ordering laboratory and diagnostic tests. Reviews and accurately records laboratory results in prenatal record. Reviews and interprets laboratory results with client. Refers abnormal results to case manager for follow-up. Assesses need for referral to other healthcare providers. Educates patients and their families and encourages participation in healthcare related decisions. Participates in constant labor and delivery coverage for caseload. Exercises discretion and judgment when evaluating and determining disposition of clients in triage area appropriately. Collaborates, consults, and refers with physicians in accordance with practice guidelines and nurse-midwifery regulations. Acts as stand-by for unattended private deliveries when physician is unavailable. Acts as Cesarean section first assist for clients and private physicians as needed. Completes post-partum rounds and discharges in a timely fashion. Completes billing slip at time of discharge. Participates in multi-disciplinary conference. Attends at least 50% of Obstetrics Department meetings annually. Maintains contact with professional organizations. Participates in performance improvement activities. Participates in continuing education activities and obtains CEUs necessary to maintain state licensure and prescriptive authority. Supervises Nurse-Mid-wifery students and family practice residents during their clinical rotation at CH. Department Venice OB Job Summary Sarasota Memorial First Physicians Group is seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife to join Venice OBGYN, a comprehensive practice with three physicians and a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner in a beautiful clinic space conveniently attached to Sarasota Memorial – Venice Hospital. Venice Hospital opened in December 2021, located on a 65-acre campus and features a 365,000-square-foot, 5 story hospital with 212 private patient suites, a 61-bed emergency care center, 8 surgical suites to include a daVinci XI Robot. The adjoining 2 story, 60,000-square-foot Medical Office Building is where the OB/GYN practice is conveniently located. The LDRP is equipped with 10 luxury LDRPs, 2 C-Section ORs, and 4 triage beds. The Level I nursery accepts patients who are 35+ weeks with a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner on call 24/7. SMH-Sarasota, located 17 miles North, is the only hospital in Sarasota County providing a Level III NICU . Responsibilities: Provide Obstetric and Gynecologic services in an outpatient and hospital setting. Monday – Friday outpatient practice hours. Rounding on admitted patients on LDRP at the hospital and seeing patients in the practice, and providing physician and/or labor coverage throughout the day depending on need. Position Details: Full-time position 20-to-40-minute visits, heavily focused on obstetric care, but also offering a range of other gynecologic and wellness services Average of 100 deliveries per month 24-hour L&D shifts with 2 midwives on call per shift; back-up OB on site as needed 8-hour clinic days Coverage can include the following outpatient locations: Everett, Mill Creek, Marysville, Monroe Compensation & Benefits: Compensation is between $146,214 and $194,036 per year The compensation amounts listed may include productivity or quality/service incentives, call pay, extra shift incentives, as applicable to the position.
