Obtain detailed sleep histories and assess sleep-related symptoms and risk factors. Diagnose and manage common sleep disorders in collaboration with physicians and other members of the care team. Review and interpret sleep study results, including polysomnography and home sleep apnea testing, within the scope of training, credentialing, and applicable regulations. Develop individualized treatment plans and provide patient education regarding sleep disorders and treatment options. Manage and follow patients receiving PAP therapy, including CPAP and BiPAP. Evaluate PAP compliance, efficacy, mask issues, and treatment-related concerns. Manage medications when clinically appropriate and within scope of practice.
