This leader will collaborate closely with physicians, social workers, therapists, pharmacists, case managers, and executive leadership to ensure exceptional patient outcomes and an outstanding caregiver experience. Key Responsibilities Lead all aspects of clinical and operational performance within the Bridges Acute Care Crisis Psychiatric Unit. Foster a culture of safety, therapeutic excellence, trauma-informed care, and patient-centered practice. Ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards, CMS Conditions of Participation, California Department of Public Health requirements, and Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health regulations. Drive quality improvement initiatives focused on reducing falls, restraints and seclusions, workplace violence incidents, and readmissions while enhancing patient and caregiver outcomes. Monitor and improve unit productivity, staffing effectiveness, fiscal stewardship, overtime management, and resource utilization. Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop nursing leaders and frontline caregivers to achieve professional growth and excellence in practice. Lead daily operations, patient throughput, psychiatric emergency response processes, admissions, discharges, and coordination of care activities. Promote evidence-based behavioral health nursing practices, therapeutic communication, de-escalation techniques, and crisis intervention strategies. Partner with interdisciplinary teams to support individualized treatment planning and recovery-focused care. Champion caregiver engagement, recognition programs, succession planning, shared governance, and Magnet principles.
