Emergency nursing encompasses care that ranges from non-urgent to critical, addressing crisis intervention, forensic, palliative, and end-of-life issues. It includes the care of patients of all ages and health conditions. Emergency nurses have adapted nursing process to include triage as a component of assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation of human responses when caring for patients.
