Caring for this patient population is complex and multidisciplinary but incredibly rewarding. The care team, consisting of RNs, LPNs, MAs, and CTAs, will collaborate with 6-8 providers per week to manage a patient load of 60-80 individuals daily, spanning from cancer surveillance to end-of-life care. The Certified Medical Assistant works alongside Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers to provide direct patient care according to state and federal guidelines. This position plays an important role in the ambulatory setting by not only performing clinical and administrative duties but also helping patients feel at ease and understanding provider instructions.
