General Overview The Registered Nurse assesses human responses and plans, implements and evaluates nursing care for individuals or families for whom the nurse is responsible. We treat patients in all steps of their journey. This includes workup and initial diagnosis, middle of their treatment process, and end of life care as well. We administer chemotherapy almost daily and becoming certified is a requirement. Our patients also receive radiation, surgical interventions, and transfusions. They require med-surg skills such as wound care, drain care, tube feeding, and pain management. Our unit includes remote telemetry monitoring for up to 13 rooms.
