Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provides direct supervision and monitoring of the nursing care given to our residents on a daily basis ensuring required documentation is completed. Provides leadership and guidance to the nursing staff. Provides treatments and medications for our residents. Attends and participates in “at risk” meetings, morning clinical meetings, QAPI meetings, safety meetings, and care plan meetings. Shares “on-call” responsibilities with other supervisory staff and provides direct care as necessary. Investigates accidents and incidents related to our residents and staff. Writes and reviews care plans identifying the problem/needs of each resident, the care to be given, goals to be accomplished and updating the care plan as needed. Conducts nursing assessments. Summary/Objective In keeping with our organization’s goal of improving the lives of the Residents we serve; the Assistant Director of Nursing plays a critical role in providing superior customera service and nursing services to all Residents in the facility. The Assistant Director of Nursing assists the Director of Nursing (D.O.N) in the planning, development and overall operation of the Nursing Department which ensures Residents receive quality care 24 hours a day.
