Overview Kelemen 10 is a medical-surgical unit that cares for patients who have various needs and disease processes. Both North and South 10 have Telemetry capabilities for our patients. Each side houses 36 patients to a maximum of 72 patients. South 10 has a 12-bed Intermediate Care Unit embedded within the 36-bed unit. INCU has critically care-trained RNs who support the patient's needs and care for ventilated patients. South 10 also has 2 negative pressure isolation rooms with an anti-room that is used when needed for specific isolation needs. We do multidisciplinary rounds Monday – Friday. This involves the patient in their care and allows the team members to collaborate with the patient to give them the best possible care and appropriate discharge to home or other facilities. We have a pharmacist who has an office on the unit to assist the RNs when needed to help avoid delay of care to any patient. Education Requirements Graduate of NLN accredited School of Nursing. License/Certification Requirements Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse). Current NJ-BLS Certification (Basic Life Support). First Pre-Admission Testing, located in 3 Cooper calls to review a patient’s health information prior to a surgical procedure. Once approval for the recommended surgical procedure is finalized and patient information is reviewed the patient is provided with information on when and where to report. Once arrived and registered the patient is escorted to the appropriate location to be prepped for surgical procedure. These RN’s prep the patient for the procedure. They review medical history, medical procedures and place an IV. Patients are met by Anesthesia and their Surgeon. Once everything is reviewed and verified the patient then goes to the OR. Cherry Hill OB/GYN, is seeking a Full-Time Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) . 3 New Jersey Office Locations: Mount Laurel, Turnersville, and Hammonton Team: 8 Physicians, 4 Nurse Practitioners, 1 Certified Nurse Midwife Role is Monday through Friday, 8 hours. 4 daytime shifts & 1 evening shift per week. The Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive, specialized care to women across the lifespan, focusing on reproductive health, gynecological issues, family planning, and wellness promotion. Practices under the standard procedure established for the Nurse Practitioner role consistent with company policy and in accordance with all legal requirements. Conducts age-appropriate assessments of patients, including history taking and physical examination consistent with department protocol. Performs routine physical examinations within scope of practice, including pelvic examinations, breast examinations, PAP tests, and any relevant infection screenings. Performs IUD and Nexplanon insertions/removals , Endometrial Biopsies , works with Pessaries - education & maintenance; may perform Colposcopies . Provides education on women’s issues, preventative care, contraceptive methods, and lifestyle modifications. Orders diagnostic tests and prescribes medications within scope of practice. Provides expert, compassionate care for women during the menopausal transition (perimenopause, menopause, postmenopausal) by managing symptoms like hot flashes, mood swings, and sleep issues, educating patients on treatment options (hormonal/non-hormonal), offering lifestyle advice (diet, exercise, supplements), and supporting overall well-being with evidence-based care. Manages prenatal, perinatal, and postpartum visits, screening for pregnancy complications and evaluating physical and mental wellbeing after birth. Confers with patients in person and by phone/electronically, collaborates with others in the department to ensure a smooth flow of patient care consistent with established quality indicators and participates in the overall coordination of patient care. Performs assessment/data collection in an ongoing systematic manner, focusing on physiological, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual and cognitive status, patient/family education, family involvement, and patient advocacy.
