Minimum Qualifications: Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Jersey or eligibility to obtain licensure. Minimum of 2 year of Med Surg/Telemetry experience in an acute care setting. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree. Experience working as a float nurse or in multiple hospital units. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as MediTech. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care in various hospital units, including medical-surgical, telemetry, emergency, and intensive care as needed. Perform comprehensive patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and administer medications and treatments according to established protocols. Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans. Document patient information accurately and timely in electronic health records to ensure continuity and quality of care. Respond promptly to patient emergencies and changes in condition, initiating appropriate interventions and escalating care when necessary. Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions to promote recovery and wellness. Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements to ensure a safe care environment.
