Change bed linens, diapers and clothing as often as necessary. • Do not permit residents to smoke in bed. • Assure that the nurse’s call system is attached to the bed and within easy reach at all times when residents are bedfast. • Answer residents’ call lights promptly. • Check for food in residents’ room. Ensure that food is kept in a sealed container. • Report all complaints to the Charge Nurse. • Report any resident abuse immediately (ie., harsh/abusive language, unnecessary roughness, etc.) • Report any medication found in the resident’s room. Qualifications Active, current, and unencumbered Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing AHA Basic Life Saving Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English Ability to maintain flexibility and composure in a constantly changing environment Understanding of patient classification and staffing requirements for the patient population Demonstrated experience in a leadership role At least One year nursing experience and knowledge AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support One year of previous PACU or Critical Care nursing experience or completion of PACU department training course Prior experience as a charge nurse preferred Enviornmental Job Requirements and WOrking COnditions This is a full-time position. Your schedule will be compromised of 3 12-hour shifts between the hours of 7 AM - 730 PM. Weekends are required at a rate of every other weekend. The hospital is located at 14662 Newport Ave, Tustin, CA 92780. The compensation pay range for this position is $46- $69/hr.
