The on-call registered nurse organizes and directs hospice care and is experienced in nursing, with emphasis on community health education/experience. The professional nurse directs the immediate services necessary to meet the needs of individual and families within their homes and communities. This position would help cover call for nights and weekends. This position is a Full-Time position working 7 days on 7 days off. The working hours for the 7 days on are: Monday-Thursday 5:00pm-8:30am; Friday 5:00pm - Monday 8:30am. Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) license with a minimum of 3 years of healthcare experience, preferably in hospice or related settings. Bachelor's degree strongly preferred. Leadership or management experience a major plus. Valid driver's license (required) Responsibilities: Lead and oversee an interdisciplinary team of nurses, aides, social workers, chaplains, and more. Ensure adherence to hospice regulations and standards. Facilitate communication between medical staff and the care team. Lead interdisciplinary meetings, documenting patient needs and care plans. Develop and update patient care policies and emergency procedures. Manage staff scheduling, performance reviews, and foster a positive work environment. Act as the central hub for communication with families, physicians, and other providers. Analyze quality metrics and manage a caseload of patients as needed.
