The Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) provides medical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of individuals experiencing substance-related withdrawal in a Withdrawal Management (Detox) setting. Diagnose and treat substance withdrawal syndromes, including but not limited to alcohol, opioids, benzodiazepines, and stimulants. Develop, implement, and adjust individualized withdrawal management plans, including medication protocols. Prescribe, administer, and monitor withdrawal-related medications (e.g., benzodiazepines, clonidine, buprenorphine, naltrexone, supportive medications) in accordance with scope of practice and collaborative agreement. Utilize standardized withdrawal tools (e.g., CIWA-Ar, COWS) and document clinical decision-making. Monitor for and respond to medical or psychiatric emergencies, including escalation to physician or transfer to higher level of care when indicated. Medication Management Conduct medication reconciliation on admission and discharge. Ensure safe prescribing practices, medication monitoring, and adherence to program protocols. Educate patients on medications, side effects, and treatment expectations. Collaboration & Care Coordination Collaborate with the Medical Director, nursing staff, counselors, and interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care. What You'll Be Doing The Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the delivery of care to patients undergoing operative and invasive procedures. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Assess patients before surgery and alleviate their concerns Gather all supplies needed for the operation Keep operating room sterlized Position and prepare patient on the operating table Pass medical instruments or other objects/supplies to the surgeon during operation Monitor patient vital signs to detect anomalies Evaluate patient in post-operative phases Adhere to safety standards and precautions What We're Looking For 630a-7pm, 3 days 12 hour shift. Rotational on-call required. Associates Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred. Must possess licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey Previous general, orthopedic, vascular and endoscopic surgery preferred. Completion of a BLS, ACLS (American Heart Association), and IV certification. Must have 1-2 years of relevant work experience. Must demonstrate excellent customer service, communication, critical thinking and interpersonal skills.
