Monday through Friday 8 to 5pm, no nights, weekends, or holidays! The Nurse Practitioner provides primary care to enrolled participants by evaluating participant physical complaints and providing appropriate treatment. The Nurse Practitioner functions beyond as an advanced practice nurse and as an integral member of the interdisciplinary team. Licensed Practical Nurse - ACU | ENT and Allergy | Day Shift | Full-time

Overview This position will be dedicated to providing service and care for the allergy clinic patients. Some clinic specific duties that will be required are giving allergy shots and performing skin testing. The Licensed Practical Nurse will also focus on providing high level patient-centered care in a physician office setting by measuring and recording vital signs, placing patients in exam rooms, preparing patients for exams/procedures, assisting the health care provider with exams/procedures, providing patient support during exams, maintaining medical supply inventory, and stocking exam rooms. The LPN will also provide patient care by administering medications, processing patient phone calls per practice protocols, instructing patients regarding health care and treatments, and providing health care provider with information pertaining to patients' health status. May be required to float to other UFHP practices, as needed, for staffing. Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Licensed LPN eligible to practice in the State of Florida. One year of ambulatory care or hospital experience preferred. Person should display initiative and have the ability to multitask. Outstanding patient/customer service skills, verbal clarity, team focus, and problem-solving skills are required for the ideal candidate. Overview The Registered Nurse (RN) provides nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process and standards of practice for a professional nurse. The RN is expected to perform all staff nurse activities and function as charge nurse when assigned. The RN maintains overall accountability/responsibility for assigned patients, even though some activities/tasks may be delegated to Technical Nurses, Patient Care Associates, and/or Sitters. Fellowship RN's must obtain their ACLS, PALS and NRP within six (6) months of hire or transfer if required by the department. Crisis Prevention Institute training within ninety (90) days, and then annually, is required for Psych Unit. Preferred Licensure/Certifications: Professional certification preferred.
