Assists provider with surgical procedures including positioning patients, keeping a sterile field, and wound cleaning and dressing. Prepares paperwork to complete patient visit. Obtains and documents patient's vital signs as needed and reports abnormal results to provider. Cleans, disinfects, sterilizes and checks to make sure all instruments and equipment are in proper working order. Maintains medication storage closets. Participates in orienting new team members. INCU has critically care-trained RNs who support the patient's needs and care for ventilated patients. South 10 also has 2 negative pressure isolation rooms with an anti-room that is used when needed for specific isolation needs. We do multidisciplinary rounds Monday – Friday. This involves the patient in their care and allows the team members to collaborate with the patient to give them the best possible care and appropriate discharge to home or other facilities.
