Administers medication utilizing the 5 rights and available safety equipment and processes. Utilizes clinical judgment with patient assessment and prescribed therapies to ensure promotion of goal obtainment. As a leader holds healthcare providers accountable for the standard of care. Review and reports test results to MD. Follows MD orders for abnormal results. Maintains aseptic/sterile technique when prepping patients for exams. Knowledge in the management of emergency medication. Compliant with the use of Pyxis for medication access and proficient in medication management. Role model for excellence in patient care. Keeps family informed. Rounds on team and assists as needed.

Telemetry Registered Nurse

Overview Shift’s Available: Days Employment Type: Full Time Hours: 12 hours Location: Southern Regional Medical Center - Riverdale, GA The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in Telemetry Unit. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients. He / She communicates with the physician about changes in the patient's clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment. Qualifications EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1. Current and valid state RN License.2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.3. Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire. 4. Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.5. Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.6. Ventilator Management experience preferred.7. Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification; preferred.8. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Triage & Vital Signs : Perform triage and take vital signs accurately. Documenting Patient History : Obtain and document detailed patient history in our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system in a timely manner. Lab Specimens : Collect routine laboratory specimens, including blood, urine, and oral swabs. Clinical Procedures : Start IVs, place catheters, and perform splinting when necessary. Clinical & Laboratory Procedures : Perform basic clinical, aseptic, and laboratory procedures to support patient care. Occupational Medicine : Assist with our Occupational Medicine services, including drug screening, breath alcohol testing, audiograms, and pulmonary function testing, while adhering to company protocols. Compliance : Enforce and maintain healthcare regulatory requirements, including HIPAA and OSHA compliance. Administrative Duties : Perform office procedures and general administrative tasks; proficiently operate office medical equipment. Quality Assurance : Oversee compliance with quality assurance programs, CLIA waived laboratory requirements, and patient result trackers. Travel Requirement: Support staffing and operational needs by traveling to other Piedmont Urgent Care locations as required. Required Qualifications: Education & Certification: Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program Experience: 1+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant (urgent care or ER a plus) Skills: Proficiency in venipuncture, injections, and clinical procedures Technical Skills: Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software, EPIC preferred Flexibility: Ability to work 12-hour shifts, weekends, and holidays Team Player: A positive, proactive approach to patient care and collaboration Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, and use hands and arms throughout the workday. Manual dexterity and hand coordination sufficient to perform assigned clinical duties. Ability to occasionally lift or move moderate weight, generally between 20 and 40 pounds. Vision abilities that include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
