This unit performs general and therapeutic GI procedures, pulmonary procedures, pre and post procedural care, as well as pre-procedure phone calls. In this role you will admit and recover endoscopy center patients, circulate and assist physicians during GI and pulmonary procedures, and complete pre-anesthesia assessment phone calls. Along with the procedure room team, you will travel to the ICU to perform bedside procedures as needed. The Super Float Registered Nurse provides therapeutic and administrative services necessary for the care of the patient, and in support of the mission of Overland Park Regional Medical Center. The Registered Nurse in the Super Float Pool position provides care for acutely ill patient in units as determined by the Float Pool agreement. SCHEDULE: Full-time DAYS (3 12-hr shifts plus rotating weekends). What qualifications you will need: Graduate from accredited school of nursing with either an AND or BSN degree. Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation. BLS required upon hire. ACLS required within 2 months of hire. TNCC and PALS required within 6 months of hire. Minimum 5 years critical care experience in the areas of ICU, ER, and/or PACU.
