Weekend shifts are defined as Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday for night shift and Saturday/Sunday for the day shift; the 3 rd weekend shift can be the RNs choice. As a Registered Nurse, you will primarily care for an adult telemetry patient population while also providing care to a small number of oncology patients. Some oncology patients may require chemotherapy treatment. When leadership determines you are ready, you will have the opportunity to become chemotherapy certified and expand your skill set. While oncology care is an important component of the unit, it represents a relatively small portion of the overall patient population, with telemetry nursing serving as the primary focus.
