The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative setting through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and older adults. The Registered Nurse coordinates the care of the patient with the surgeon and anesthesiologist, directs and guides the OR Technician and other personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing. The program provides 24-hour-a-day, multidisciplinary, intensive treatment for patients with acute psychiatric disorders, cognitive impairment, and patients with autism and intellectual disabilities with varying medical complexities. The inpatient behavioral health services offer people with acute psychiatric crises who urgently require a safe environment, a supportive and structured milieu, and intensive psychiatric and physiological therapeutic intervention. The treatment program combines these elements into a unique and effective treatment program. We provide management of acutely ill patients with lift-threatening conditions requiring complex assessment, high- intensity therapies and interventions, and continuous nursing vigilance. A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is strongly preferred; graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required. At least one (1) year of Behavioral Health Nursing required. In this position, you will work 7p-7:30a. This position requires every other weekend and holiday required. The schedule during the week will vary depending on department needs. This position offers a Night Shift schedule and 36 working hours weekly, allowing you to build strong patient relationships while maintaining balance.
