PM ADON/Supervisor In keeping with our organization’s goal of improving the lives of the Guests we serve, the Nurse Supervisor R.N. plays a critical role in providing superior customer service and nursing services to all Guests on the assigned unit as well as in the facility as a whole. The Nurse Supervisor assists the Assistant Director of Nursing and the Director of Nursing (D.O.N) in the planning, development and overall operation of the assigned unit, which ensures Guests receive quality care 24 hours a day. Maintains the comfort, privacy and dignity of Guests and interacts with them in a manner that displays warmth, respect and promotes a caring environment. Ensure each Guest receives person centered care. Must answer and respond to call lights promptly and courteously when working in Guest care areas. Assist with new admissions, re-admissions and assist with the transfer of Guests to different rooms within the assigned unit. Communicates and interacts effectively and tactfully with Guests, visitors, families, peers and supervisors. Attend and participate in departmental meetings and in-services. Answers call lights when working in a resident care unit. Attend and participate in departmental meetings and in-services. Recognize your role as part of the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) efforts of your organization. Attend trainings to build understanding and capacity to undertake QAPI work. Carry out QAPI roles and responsibilities as assigned. Follow established policies and procedures in support of QAPI efforts. Any noted opportunities for improvement will be shared with leadership in the organization. Communicate to leadership upon witnessing a positive outcome of a QAPI project or detecting barriers preventing project success. Support QAPI efforts both verbally and non-verbally (i.e., via actions and attitude), including adjusting performance and practice in accordance with QAPI initiatives and findings. Participate in compliance trainings as scheduled and adhere to compliance plan. Supervisory Responsibility This position directly supervises all Nursing staff on the assigned unit including but not limited to R.N’s, L.P.N’s and C.N.A’s. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping on a regular basis. The employee must be able to lift and move items and patients weighing at least 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
