RESPONSIBILITIES The RN assists physician in the care and teaching of patients. QUALIFICATIONS Registered Nurse, licensed in the State of Residence, with experience in IV therapy. The ability to assess patient needs and condition. Strong critical thinking skills, as well as the ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Current CPR certification. BLS required upon hire or must be obtained within 30 days of employment (FCS will provide BLS course within first 30 days). A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is strongly preferred; graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required. Medical/Surgical and or Telemetry nursing experience preferred, as is the following certifications – MEDSURG-BC (Medical-Surgical Nursing Board Certification), PCCN (Progressive Care Certified Nurse), CMSRN (Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse), and comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC. In this position, you will work 7a-7:30p. This position requires every other weekend and holiday required. Schedule during the week will vary depending on department needs.
