Job Description Nemours is seeking a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner or Certified Nurse Midwife to join our Nemours Children’s Perinatal Program in Wilmington, DE. The Nemours Fetal Care Center and Advanced Delivery Unit are expanding the scope of service to include comprehensive prenatal, obstetrical and postpartum care for women whose unborn child has been diagnosed with a birth defect or complex medical condition that will require immediate multidisciplinary pediatric care in the neonatal period. In addition to currently available prenatal imaging to diagnose these conditions, we are also expanding invasive diagnostics and fetal intervention procedures. The NFCC-APP will work with the Maternal-Fetal Medicine physicians, Obstetricians and the entire multidisciplinary team to provide full scope maternal care including prenatal care, postpartum care, inpatient care, assist in fetal procedures in the outpatient setting and in the operating room, and assessment of fetal well-being. In this role, the qualified NFCC-APP will play an integral role in the care and support of these patients throughout their high-risk pregnancy journey into the postpartum period. Responsibilities: Assists the nurse and treatment team in providing a safe and supportive environment which promotes patient rehabilitation Participates in nursing shift report for full update on status of patients Responds to medical and psychiatric emergencies and assists in the management of behavioral emergencies utilizing nonviolent crisis interventions Is available for discussions with individual patients as needed Assists with basic nursing procedures including personal hygiene as needed (bed bath, showers, dressing, measuring intake and output etc.), vital signs, weights, observation of urine specimen collection, transporting and lifting patients, and care of psychiatrically and medically ill patients Searches new admissions, both patient and belongings, and provides patient orientation to unit and hospital with appropriate corresponding documentation and signatures Is available for transporting charts, mail, food trays, unit supplies, Hospital correspondence, phone coverage and unit relief Supervises patients on 1:1 and special precautions, and documents Makes hourly rounds of assigned unit, observing every patient every hour, documenting his/her location on hourly rounds record form, utilizing required procedure. Nursing Supervisor-Weekend Day

Job Summary Responsible for supervision of nursing staff on the assigned shift, the nursing care provided and related administrative and professional nursing activities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Clinical Available to offer direct and indirect clinical support as needed. Available by pager to coordinate or intervene in medical/psychiatric emergencies, complex clinical issues or situations. Available to answer daily clinical problems and questions generated by nursing staff and other team members. Acts as a clinical resource and role model for nursing staff. Monitors care of patients with wounds, anticoagulants, seizures Reports pertinent clinical information to the Director of Nursing. Coordinate the admission process as needed. 11-7 Shift: Responsible for conducting all aspects of admission process including insurance pre-certification, etc. Direct responsibility for discharge summary process. Administrative Responsible for supervision of nursing staff on the assigned shift. Makes rounds to all nursing units twice per shift. Obtains shift report from nursing units and relays pertinent information to the next shift. Completes staff performance evaluations. Responsible for staffing schedules and daily unit staffing. Interacts with managed care and all insurance entities as necessary. Enters admissions, discharges, transfers and service changes in the Hospital Information System. Activates fire and disaster plans. Reviews staff timecards in EZ Labor and time accruals for accuracy. Works with Security to ensure safety of patients and staff. Oversees emergencies. Facilitates 302 petitions and emergency transfers. Completes supervisory report and checks 24-hour census for accuracy. Other Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for attending and ensuring that all staff members participate in mandated training. Other related duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing. Education / Research / Professional Assists with orientation of new employees; ensures training specific to employee job duties Participates on appropriate committees and task forces.
