About this Unit: The Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool RNs are able to float to the Pediatric Med/Surg units as well as the following Pediatric Critical Care units: PICU, Pediatric CVICU, Pediatric Emergency Department and the NICU. The critical care RNs function in the role of charge flyer in which they serve as a resource for the entire pediatric hospital, making staffing recommendations, as well as are members of all emergency response teams, including code blue, rapid response team, and trauma activation team. This position will be working 0.75 FTE (60 hours) every two weeks on the Night shift, 12 hour shifts and every third weekend. The RN role offers an additional $2.00/hour for being in the Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool. Job Description HealthPartners is currently hiring for a full-time LPN/Medical Assistant/EMT working in the Pediatrics department in Primary Care at the Arden Hills clinic. ***SIGN ON BONUS ELIGIBLE*** The Required Qualifications For The LPN Position Include Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Perform patient correspondence when requested and assist patients in completing forms when appropriate. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to procedure and OSHA standards. Complete scheduled cleaning requirements for designated work areas. Document completion of work to comply with infection control and OSHA standards Implement other infection control procedures as needed and adhere to protective clothing requirements. Ensure clinic supplies are adequately stocked and well organized. Process and deliver department inventory requests in a timely manner. Routinely check expiration dates and remove or replace outdated supplies. Maintain prescription sample supply cabinet as per clinic protocol Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and adequate records are kept. Ensure inventory of instruments and equipment is current. Ensure instruments and equipment are calibrated as needed and maintained in proper working order. In this position you will work on the Flying Squad responding to codes across the hospital and work shifts in the ICU, Emergency Department and Med/Surg areas.
