Job Description: Principle Responsibilities: Perform pre- and post-procedural follow-up patient evaluation, draft notes in the medical record Call results of imaging examinations, if needed Administer contrast agents and radiopharmaceuticals as prescribed by the radiologist Administer general medications as prescribed by the radiologist in conformance with organizational policy Care of the patient prior to, during and following radiological procedures, wound management, diet intervention, insertion and removal of vascular catheters, management of drainage tubes Completes comprehensive patient assessments. Determines diagnosis and treatment of illness. Orders and interprets medical diagnostics in tandem with attending physician. Prescribes medications, treatments, therapy and medical equipment. Located in Burnsville, just 20 minutes south of Minneapolis, MN, near the 35 E and 35 W conjunctions. This position is a .9 FTE, working 72 hours per 2 week pay period. This position works 12-hour shifts, every third weekend rotation (Fri,Sat,Sun), and on the night shift (7pm-7:30am). The Nursing Assistant is responsible for assisting the professional nurse/caregiver in the delivery of patient care, transporting patient and/or equipment, setting up and maintaining patient rooms, and the reordering and stocking of supplies. The Nursing Assistant does not work autonomously but works under the direction of a professional nurse. The Nursing Assistant may be given a patient care assignment based on unit needs and the discretion of the manager/charge nurse. Provides basic patient care by performing routine duties to include: Personal grooming, bathing, toileting, Feeding, Skin care needs (clean and sterile dressing changes), applying ointments/creams, Oral hygiene, Specimen collection/testing, Position/ambulating, Changing linens, Promptly answers call lights.
