Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School Diploma or GED AND Must have completed a Medical Assistant training program OR Medical Assistant Training Program equivalency: at least 6 months experience in Certified Medical Assistant role OR proof of completion of on-the-job training/education program for certified medical assisting in another healthcare organization. Licensure/ Certification: Current certification by ONE of the following approved certifying agencies : American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), earning Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential American Medical Technologists (AMT) or American Allied Health (AAH), earning Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), earning a National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) credential National HealthCare Association (NHA), earning Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) credential National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP), earning a Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) credential PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: Previous experience as a medical office assistant or CNA or equivalent, previous experience with electronic health records or phlebotomy.
